Event – Mapping Melbourne – Fame Agenda x Darbotz – Melbourne

Mapping Melbourne brings a collaboration of local fashion label Fame Agenda and Indonesian street artist Darbotz in Fame Agenda X Darbotz. A fashion show featuring models , music and street art, which will burst out of a giant pink box on the steps of the State Library of Victoria for one day only.

Indonesian street artist Darbotz is back after his last visit and show in April this year in Melbourne. He was also one of the many artists featured in Bomb It 2. Using the theory of semiotics, Darbotz wanted people to recognise his artwork without having to sign it. His unique character the “Cumi” squid monitors is only painted in black and white.

The “Cumi” has been adapted by Monica Lim, Fame Agenda’s designer into a dress that will featured in the show. It will also feature models wearing photographic prints of Dabotz’s artwork which he left in the walls of Melbourne during his last visit. During the show, Darbotz will be painting the giant pink box live, the panels of which will be sold and proceeds will go to the victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines.
