We don’t often cover photographic stuff here, but I’m making an exception this time around because I love Matt Irwins work and I’ve seena fair bit of it over the last year or so.
For this weekend only, he’ll be showing a bunch of his work at Artboy Gallery in Prahran – Matt manages to capture the vibe of the street with his pieces in a really unique and concise fashion – and the colours pop out at your as do the fragments of pieces that adorn the walls and alleyways he captures.
“Iconic Melbourne Photographer Matt Irwin will be invading ArtBoy Gallery in a complete gallery takeover, showcasing his Limited, Open and NEW Never-before-released Images.
For 2 days only, this pre-Christmas event will be featuring photographs of Matt’s beloved Melbourne, as well as
locations around Australia and the rest of the world; this new collection represents Matt’s unique view of the
world around him.
Interpreting street art, industrial landscapes and the beauty of city skylines; this collection of work showcases
Matt’s eye for the minutiae and wonder in the everyday.”
