We’ve seen a bit of McGenniskens work pop up over the past year or so, most notable when we first spotted it in last years Small Works Prize at the Brunswick street Gallery last year, and recently, at the Ending Where We Begin group show at Surface POP.
Being the huge fans of illustration that we are, McGennisken is swiftly becoming one of our favourites, and his folk-come-street-esque style is right up our alley. So we were pretty pleased this afternoon to see that he’s holding an impromptu solo show at Fitzroys Black Cat cafe, running from tonight until the first week of May. If you’re in the ‘Burn, you should really get down there and check out out his work.
