RTIST Gallery in Prahran looks to be in full swing with its solo show calendar for the year, and next up is tomorrow nights exhibit from the talented hands of Marko Maglaic.

Markos work is colourful, vibrant and has hints of Basquaitishness about them – yet it is uniquely Maglaic, and the images that he paints are bright, colourful and undeniable pleasure invocative in appearance.

“Croatian born artist Marko Maglaic believes his paintings come from a spiritual, logical, yet simultaneously chaotic, place. As an artist he strives to depict fact, myth, life, love, death and the eternal struggle of mankind. For Maglaic the enemy is time, as love or hate are of no consequence with its passing. He demands his art be thoroughly scrutinized by the viewer, to discover the works’ truthful emotions. To act as a kind of raw sub-conscious, opening up new truths and providing evidence of a higher existence …
