Exhibition – Dream Travels – Bleeding Heart Gallery – Brisbane

“Supported by Ironlak”. These six syllables are enough to excite the likes of graffiti artists and street art fans alike. You can imagine our lack of surprise then, when we gazed upon the range of talent that this cult paint brand has conjured up for the much anticipated collaborative Exhibition, Dream Travels.

Two of Brisbane’s most prolific graffiti artists, Sofles and Treaz, are bumping talents with two other Brisvegan locals, the celebrated fine artist Maryanne Oliver, and visual contorter Yuin Huz. This “awesome foursome” will collaborate on a shared vision, transforming the beautiful heritage walls of The Bleeding Heart Gallery into imaginative dreamscapes of colour and creativity.

“These four hugely talented and distinguished artists have come together to illustrate their visions of the not-always-seen world around us. From 22 July – 1 August they will share their mastery, mystery and metamorphosis with the broader community at Brisbane’s finest “profit for purpose” gallery, Bleeding Heart”.

A creative manifestation of raw imagination and aesthetic appeal, this unique one-off exhibition will present a facade of visionary works, exploring subjects as defined as “quantum theory, astral projection, and reincarnation” and will utilise a range of artistic mediums including acrylics, water colours, paint, inks, paint pens, brushes, rollers, stencils, and of course, aerosol.

The event promises to stray as far from the realm of perceived normality as possible, and may entice you into a dream world of
in-conceivable beauty and imagination – an opportunity not to be missed.
