Exhibition – A Touch Of Class – Somedays Gallery – Sydney

As a part of the Sydney Design festival, all female design crew Tough Titties will be holding a show in Surry Hills next week. This eclectic group of ladies, who include amongst their numbers designers, typographers, paper sculptors, crocheter’s, illustrators and graffiti artists, will each be presenting a piece on a special cut out doilie.

“This will be Tough Titties first and has been chosen to be part of the annual Sydney Design Festival. The theme for this years festival is ‘Is old new again?’ and we have 20 amazingly talented up and coming female creatives … all of these talented ladies are already doing great things in their different areas and Tough Titties want to bring all of this talent together under one roof to give women greater exposure in the creative industries without scumming to stereotypes or gender politics. It’s simply about being creative, collaborative and showing how much diverse female talent is out there!”

Nice – we love themed exhibitions, and, have to say, doilies are the new cool! There will also be live art on the night by Georgie Hill – good times!
