Exhibition – Ashley Fritzsche – Building Camp – Melbourne

Exhibition – Ashley Fritzsche – Building Camp – Melbourne

Solo shows are grand, and first time solo shows are grander. Invariably presenting a cross section of work, first solo shows often give us aficionados a unique crossroads glimpse into an artists prior evolution, as well as offering glimpses into the potential directions of future work.

Ashley Fritzsche will be holding her first solo show at Federation Squares NGV project space next week, and her drawings look really intriguing, as does the philosophy behind the show.

“By distorting an already false reality of “home,” ‘Building Camp’ aims to reveal another truth, perhaps more accurate than the first. In her first solo exhibition, Ashley comments on social farce through the basic processes of construction, deconstruction, and manipulation.”

Looks fun, and its at a  gallery space perfectly suited to an illustrated show!
