Ahh, we love the ‘valley, and we really love the shows that Nine Lives put on – and, this time, its with the talented duo from We Buy Your Kids. We’ve been waiting to see a show pop up from these boys, and it looks great; these guys know no bounds when it comes to creating good art and design.

“We Buy Your Kids is the multi-disciplinary design talent known for its masterful imagery and fantastical aesthetic. Biddy Maroney and Sonny Day – the phenomenal duo behind WBYK – have been at it for six years now, racking up a prolific body of work that includes everything from illustration to web design, animation to photography, with an even more impressive client list. WBYK have exhibited in solo and group shows throughout Australia and overseas, and are represented by the formidable Jacky Winter Group.

Biddy and Sonny have taken on commissions as diverse as Rolling Stone Australia, the New York Times, and Qantas, whilst flexing their design talent to create a myriad of album covers and tour posters for the likes of Paul Dempsey, Youth Group, and Deerhunter. Inspired by the cataclysmic, the duo reference witchcraft, the occult, and voodoo, proving themselves a true force to be reckoned with in every regard.”

This is also the official Brisbane Semi-Permanent after party, so its sure to be a fun night out with some great art.
