Last month in our Thursday Transmissions we featured a piece from Stormie Mills, and with a career spanning over twenty fives years, a whole slew of out shows across the continent, we were happy to see that he has another show coming up at Metro gallery this week.
“Since launching his career as a visual artist 25 years ago Stormie Mills has carved a distinctive niche for his work that has seen him showcased internationally to critical acclaim. Stormie’s work is an emotional expression of the beauty found within decay, captured within the layers of his paintings.”
Stormie Mills has crossed many geographic boundaries with his art, and is represented in Barcelona, Berlin, Greece, London, Los Angeles, New York & Miami. He was a guest speaker at the London Institute of Contemporary Arts in 2004 and has worked on many private commissions and collaborations, including the production of limited edition toys, bags and clothing.
Stormie Mills has established a strong following for his unique statements on life, his imagery highlights the strength needed to continue onward in the face of adversity shining the spotlight on the superhero in all of us.”
This week, Stormie Mills brings you an eclectic presentation of psychological processes created by using ”Scuffling” – a “process of applying paint to canvas a cross between a shuffle and a scrape; a subtlety of movement; a sense of motion.”
