Gorgeous drawings, photographs and an attractively talented musician/artist behind it all! This show is a real piece of art! … and we’d love to be quitting our day jobs to get on a plane for this one…
“Joel Birch is a jack of all trades and king of them all. Joel spends the year round performing in front of thousands as the front man of Australian rock band The Amity Affliction.
His travels with the band have sent him all over the globe exciting his passion for printed photography and love of lyrics and lettering. ‘Quit your day job’ showcases a lifestyle of global roaming, memorable places, love, many friendships and the illustrated word.”
If this mysterious and majestic character tickles your fancy, be sure to check out Joel’s blog ‘AM/PM’ on tumbler (there are some great prints on the blog) before heading down to preview this bodacious babes [ed. got a little art crush there, Cholo?] work. “Quit your day job” isn’t just photography, prints and sketching though – also contained in this show is a joint collaboration with Roach, in mural form – as only can be done at Lo-Fi. We think this will be a star studded hardcore event, so get down to Lo-Fi and check it out.
