A friend of mine at work actually passed me a card about this show today – “I know you like this kind of stuff,” he said – and damn, he was right. Previously at the Collingwood Gallery, it moves over to The Vic in Abbotsford tonight.

Taking imagery from that much loved by all series of movies, Star Wars, and superimposing stylised imagery of many of the iconic characters, helmet and vehicles on to every day images of children, Helm2 is an exciting body of work that is playful and curiously nostalgic.

Skulls mounted on AT-ATs? Yes please.
