With Christmas making its ponderous way towards us (hurry up, annual leave) everyone seems to be getting into the xmas spirit with parties, shows, and, of course, live art.

Metro Gallery has had a phenomenal year, with solo shows from Swoon back in January, Michael Peck, D*Face, Stormie Mills, Anthony Lister, and their great Things to Come show, which featured E.L.K., JKB Fletcher and Daniel Smith.

So to celebrate, they’ll be having another live art show, with food and drinks throughout the afternoon

“Before 2011 comes to a close, Metro Gallery would like to invite you all to a Live Painting Day at the Gallery. Come down from 12-5pm on Saturday 17th December to see some of Melbourne’s finest street artists as they complete their canvases amidst the holiday festivitie.”

The four artists, Drewfunk, Heesco, Itch and Mysterious Al are all fantastic and they’re a perfect group to showcase the variety of individuals working on their art on the Melbourne streets, so head down there this Saturday and check it out for yourself.
