The annual Melbourne Midsumma festival is coming up fast, and alongside this twenty four year old annual celebration of gay, lesbian, bi, trans, intersex and queer arts, we’ve come to expect an amazing array of creative shows and events across its program. This year is jam packed full of great displays, not least of which is Brett Willis’s upcoming solo show at Prahrans ArtBoy Gallery,Toonarama.

TOONARAMA – The Exhibition features limited edition digital artwork caricature prints by 2012 Midsumma Festival Premier Artist for Stonnington – cartoonist Brett Willis.

The cast of cartoon hottie caricatures include Pop Princess Kylie Minogue, Olympic Diver Matt Mitchum, Music Icons Madonna & George Michael, Drag Legends Kerrie Le Gore, Tabitha Turlington & Doug Lucas, 100% KYLIE show star Lucy Bailey, Music Guru Ian “Molly” Meldrum, Melbourne STORM rugby player Cooper Cronk, comedian Josh Thomas, underwear model Nick Bracks, politician Penny Wong and more… plus a special tribute to the late Vivien St James.”

Toonarama is ArtBoys first foray for the New Year, its a wonderfully comedic look at pop culture and a great warm up for what we know is going to be an amazing year ahead!
