These are the kinds of collaborative shows that we like seeing!
In celebration of NAIDOC week, AWOL crew members Adnate, Slicer and Lucy Lucy have teamed up with several indigenous artists to present Fusion.
“FUSION is an exciting collaboration of six Artists (three Indigenous plus three non-Indigenous) to produce a work in situ at Blak Dot Gallery. The site specific artwork will be on show for three weeks, with only a small section of the work made available for purchase while the majority of which will be erased at the completion of the exhibition period.”
We like the fact that this is a site-specific show fusing Melbourne street art with indigenous works, and that most of the show will be temporary – and, of course, that it is a part of NAIDOC, a celebratory week of indigenous culture that all Australians should proudly support.
