Shida‘s long awaited show “Ecstasy in the Abyss” opened Friday night at Backwoods Galleryin Collingwood.

As expected the show was amazing. Starting with the infamous Backwoods wall on the way into the gallery with a great piece, topped off by the installation in the first room, greeting us with a fluorescent glowing tree with a fluorescent painted dancer in the tree.

The works were also spectacular. Shida’s trademark scratchy sharp lines combined with his latest colour scheme, featuring lots of fluorescent, bright colours.
