Knock Knock Magazine presents Evenings in the Lounge: Street and Screen Artists with Knock Knock, a series of artist talks featuring some of Australia’s best street and screen artists. This should be a rad event. Wish I was up in Sydney to experience Vivid; all the coverage of it I’ve seen so far has been awesome!
From the press release: “As part of this years Vivid festival up in Sydney this year Knock Knock Magazine presents “Evenings in the Lounge: Street and Screen Artists with Knock Knock”
Join the cream of the young Australian graffiti, illustration and graphic arts scene for an evening of conversation and collaboration. Knock Knock magazine’s panel of emerging artists, Eleven, Soft Science and Dave Cragg, share their work, processes and talent alongside the wisdom of established graffiti icon Phibs. This survey of fresh talent will share their creative practice and discuss the issues and opportunities for young graphic artists in 2013.
Melbourne artists Eleven (illustrator and graffiti artist) and Soft Science (animator and illustrator) demonstrate the new style of interdisciplinary craftsmanship, honesty and humour. With his raw Australiana, Sydney artist Dave Cragg pushes painting in new directions; and from the streets to the National Gallery of Australia’s permanent collection Phibs encompasses these aspects combined.
Produced by Sydney siblings Tom and Alison Groves, Knock Knock is a free online magazine profiling emerging and established street artists, illustrators and visual innovators found in alleyways and far reaches of the net.
Visit www.knockknockmagazine.com.au for more.”
Sadly the event is sold out but you can try your luck for tickets at the door at 7pm.

June 14, 2013, 3:34 pmIts a great initiative by Knock Knock Magazine to help promote artists and there art. I have had the chance to see Eleven art display and it was completely different and amazing. I am sure this event would also be a live, rocking and entertaining extravaganza with some finest purveyors of art coming together to put up a show. I would also like to congratulate Knock Knock Magazine in promoting art and doing such a wonderful work.
