Dirty Playground is back again with another instalment of goodness, this time with good friend of Invurt (and designer of our awesome sticker) Hancock.
The last one of these nights was very cool, in particular I absolutely loved the choons at GoGo, so I’ll definitely be back for this one. Should be a rad evening and a chance to pick up some awesome art.
From the Press Release: “When approaching Hancock as the feature artist for Dirty Playground’s second show at GoGo Bar (basement 125 Flinders Lane, Melbourne), with live guest performance by Kosta Stephano, he expressed that he didn’t want to talk about his work in a typical, blatant manner and was set to not misrepresent himself as the dark, exclusively Street artist that everyone associates him to be. Quite a claim for the heavily bearded individual who is often seen cloaked in dark hoodies and covered in monotones of paint, who, as described by friend and colleague James Watkins as, “ Glimpses of reality rendered; illuminations of darkness laid to rest in muted pigments; sleep is no escape from a nightmare; grey hope resides where light meets the shadow.”
So, despite the biography, Dirty Playground downloaded questions from an Online Dating Website to gather insight of the man behind the myth…
