After seeing a bunch of photos pop up in Instagram tonight, I decided to head down in to Rutledge lane real quick to take a look at what was happening.

Post Adrian Dolyes recent painting of Rutledge lane, Empty-Nursery Blue, I wasn’t surprised to see a whole mass of artists down in the laneway painting away – not just bombing chromies either – though there was plenty of that too!

Sear, Joske, Shem, Paso, Snowy, Trash, Cable, Laci, The Doctor and a shitload more were all down there claiming the empty canvas of the walls – and say what you will about the blue … seeing what happened tonight was, well, it was fkn beautiful … burners!

My pics of the Shem piece were pretty crappy, but the dudes over at the Melbourne Graffiti Facebook page have let us use these dope shots …
