Man, what a night down in Windsor last Friday – after months of painting and a hell of a lot of prep, Conrad Bizjak opened his first solo show “The Human Zoo” – and it was all kinds of grand!
Not being content with just hanging works on the wall, Conrad also spent a fair amount of time painting extension pieces of his works across the walls of the galleries with a combination of acrylic and spraypaint, and that little bit of extra effort paid off. Distorted humans, familiar scenes from the underbelly of the world and idyllic glimpses into the quintessential Australian life, it was quite an impressive display.
Conrad will also be doing a live painting session down at the gallery this Sunday, September 22nd from 1pm til 6pm. Head down and check out the show during the week, or this weekend at the live painting session!
Here’s a few shots from the opening as well as of a bunch of the artwork from the show.
