We’ve been following the work of Bennett for quite some time now, and he’s all geared up for another solo show, “Constant Elevation” tonight at Kind Of Gallery in Sydney!

“Sydney based artist and recent finalist in the Mount Eyre Prize, Bennett’s works explores personal interpretation of common and daily environments.

In his latest body of work ’Constant Elevation’, you’ll find contemporary depictions of surroundings the artist has had personal connections with, deciphering and breaking them down to their most raw geometric values, while personifying his appreciation for the seemly forgotten or discarded elements of our daily surrounds.

Produced both from deep seeded memories and visual references, often derived from public spaces which are over looked, neglected or forgotten, these final images fuse nostalgia and abstraction, with an emphasis on colour, form, balance and composition.
