The Studio 615 Collective are a group of friends from multiple disciplines who have bene putting on shows for several years. Starting out together in a studio, after they all left they stayed in contact and every year or so, they put on a group show. With a still strong collective ethos, the crew form Studio 615 is filled to the brim with some of Melbourne greatest talent, whether it be painting, street art, graffiti or photography.
“‘Dark Times’ is a group exhibition featuring the work of creative collective, Studio 615, proudly supported by RVCA and The True East.
Continuing on from their previous shows with the word play of ‘Time’, artists Michael Danischewski, Silk Roy, Sam Octigan, Doug Aldrich, Melissa Grisancich and Brendan Davies have come together to create all new work in black & white.
An insight into how the artists work, this next installment features more works on canvas, paper, wood in a broad range of mediums. Black & white being a new look for some and a familiar one for others. ‘Dark Times’ opens Friday the 24th of June, 6-8pm at the RVCA Corner Gallery 82 Stanley Street Collingwood, and continues until the 17th of July.”
