This Friday – Julian Clavijo has his 1st solo show ‘Patient Transition’ at S.T.K Arts Space in St Kilda.
David Russell and I were privileged enough to have a sneak peak of some of the works as well as Julian’s studio space today, and I can guarantee you this show is going to be brilliant. Watch out for a studio visit post coming soon :) Some teasers from Julian below too!!!
From the Facebook event page: “Join us on Friday 24th of June 2016 at 6:30 – 8:30pm at 3-5 St Kilda Road, St Kilda VIC 3182, for drinks and canapés, and check out the latest artworks that Julian has been working on since he moved into STK Arts Space.
‘Patient Transition’ is a compilation of some of Julian’s previous major works and a contemplative exploration of small works on the enchanting innocence of childhood as it should be.
“As the inaugural resident artist at Ground Floor – S.T.K Arts Space I am honoured and committed to bring my passion, knowledge and creative input into Caydon’s urban art strategy as part of the S.T.K development.”
Julian has compiled a collection of works throughout his years in Australia, and, having originated from Colombia and showing in more than 28 different countries, his art includes a variety of colours, subjects and textures that are not only unique in his contemporary use of different mediums, but of an incredibly detailed nature.
Ground Floor – S.T.K Arts Space integrates various art forms into a residential urban environment, and presents a range of art, workshops and activities to the public in a way that engages and enriches the dialogue between arts, culture and urban living.
We look forward to seeing you on Friday the 24th of June to celebrate this event with us.
