Snapshots – EMPTY – RONE – Lyric Theatre

This show will be talked about long after the metal monsters tear down this beautiful 1920’s theatre that Rone brought back to life, giving Melbourne one last chance to see her in all her beauty.

And boy did she shine especially from a photographers point of view, I returned 3 times to capture the amazing space come to life with these incredible shards of light coming through the porthole windows from 3:30 pm.

I also loved just watching all the reactions of the bystanders as they walked in and were struck by a 10 metre mural depicting a female over a wall Rone had sandblasted revealing a beautiful design.

The show featured some awesome photo’s Rone had taken of various abandoned houses with his muses eerily painted on the burnt dilapidated surrounds, which just seemed to add to their beauty.

The other side was adorned with various sized canvasses featuring more of his muses, painted in his unmistakable style he has become known all around the globe for.

So for those that couldn’t make it to see this exhibition, please enjoy these images that I captured over three days, till next time guys peace.
