After moving to Melbourne from Perth several years ago, Chris Hancock has had a number of solo shows here, with each one pushing a little further and a little more into his own artistic and psychological exploration. With his next show at Off The Kerb, this journey continues to refine his already formidable talent, as well as delve into new technique and evolution of his style.
“‘Hollow’ is a collection of new paintings by Christopher Hancock made throughout 2017. This new body of work sees Hancock continue his exploration of evocative forms that appear as though dramatically sculpted onto the canvas. These paintings reflect a notable point of progress in the artists practice, and reveal crucial developments within medium and technique. Peer into the hollow, a void of opportunity. Create shapes, for curious minds avail.”
Head down to Off The Kerb this Friday night or any time over the next two or so weeks to see it all!
