Derivation is a new solo show by Jimmy Dvate coming to Juddy Roller this September.
In his first solo show in over 7 years, DVATE has been working hard in the studio to produce a not to be missed exhibition. If you haven’t seen his larger than life works around the countryside or on social media then you really are out of the loop.
DVATE is one of Australia’s most respected street artists and his work speaks volumes. He’s been at it for over 20 years and his aerosol work tends to stand the test of time on the streets. In recent years painting silos in Waikerie, Rochester and Goorambat, to the Benalla Wall to Wall Festival, he pulls on the heartstrings by using endangered flora and fauna as his subjects.
So whether it be graffiti, a mural or both, his work is very well received by art lovers of all ages. We can’t wait to see what he brings for his much anticipated solo show at Juddy Roller.
“From Squirrel Gliders to Black Cockatoos, Blue-Tongued Lizards and Barking Owls, Jimmy’s work brilliantly conveys not only his dedication to his craft but also his genuine passion for these creatures and his commitment to conservation. He truly captures the personalities of the subjects he paints with his accuracy and impressive use of colour.”
