Tiger Translate just held their latest instalment in the series in Dubai. Tiger Translate Dubai follows their recent events in Mongolia and New Zealand. Winners from both events were invited to paint n Dubai. The line up included artists from Singapore, Mongolia, Australia, New Zealand and Dubai. Artists included Sheryo (Singapore), Enforce One (New Zealand) working with Paul Bruwer, Nick Ford (Australia) with Sasan Saidi, Anunaran (Mongolia) with Darwin Gueverra and Batbayar Purew (Mongolia) alongside Konan Lim.
As well as a huge paint up (with beat-boxing and music by some great artists – Pat Mahoney of LCD Soundsystem, Paul “Seiji” from Bugz in the Attic, Dolby, Hamdan Al Abri, Zahed Sultan, Tim Tapsell and Singaporean beat-boxer Dharni) as well as workshops by Sheryo on the history of street art. As well as the awesome street art and music, punters were given the opportunity to try “digital graffiti”, digitally painting on surrounds and also to design beer bottles.
This great series has been running for 6 years now and I’m keen to see what they come up with next. Here’s some photos from the show:
