Some of Melbourne best creatives, Studio 615 is a brilliant collective of multidisciplinary artists who frequently do rad shit together.

“Studio 615 are Mike Danischewski, Sahil Silkroy, Sam Octigan, Marcus Dixon and Doug Aldrich, a creative collective with members based both in multiple locations around Australia and the USA. Each member posses a unique vision and creative skill sets that span disciplines that include; graffiti, illustration, photography, design and creative direction to name a few.

They use these contrasting skills to produce arresting, multilayered works of art in numerous settings.

Through time spent both sharing creative spaces and working remotely, they periodically pool their talents, working together to produce murals, installations exhibitions, video and publications etc. they are constantly conceptualizing, creating and collaborating on multiple group projects while driving their own personal disciplines and practices with equal energy.

“Time Flies” is a group exhibition featuring the work of creative collective, Studio 615. Artists Mike Danischewski, Sahil Silkroy, Sam Octigan, Marcus Dixon and Doug Aldrich have come together from the inner suburbs of Melbourne, to Newcastle, to Brooklyn New York, to transform St. Kilda’s Obscura Gallery into a personal insight into how the artists work, both personally as individuals and as a collaborative group featuring a broad range of work, spanning multiple mediums and disciplines from fine art, to photography and much more.

This project promises to be just as awesome as all the other stuff that they’ve done in the past – I’m really looking forward to seeing it!
