Every year, Australian illustrators get together in a massive gathering to showcase their talents. Under Illustrators Australias curation, these artists are set to descend on the Abbotsford Convent (the home of IA) for the next iteration in this on going expose – Flourish.

“Come join us for our annual 9×5 Exhibition and Auction – this year in the gorgeous surrounds of the Abbotsford Convent. Each year we invite the members of Illustrators Australia to create new artwork on a 9 x 5 inch piece of wood … this year’s theme is ‘Flourish’. Each work is available for sale / auction, with a reserve price of $195 – come and pick up a bargain from some of Australia’s most celebrated and up-and-coming artists!
We will also be launching our new app “IA Pocket” – a pocket full of illustrators at the tip of your fingers just when you need ’em most.

It’s always a fun night to have a drink and catch up with friends old and new – hope to see you there.

The exhibition continues until November 3, open daily from 8am – 4pm. We will also have a special Illustrators Market at the Convent on Sunday October 20 and Saturday October 26, 10am – 4pm with various members selling prints, original work, jewellery, cards, fashion and more!”

There will seriously be something here for everyone, from pop to lowbrow, traditional to contemporary, head along to Abbotsford this Friday for a little slice of whats happening in the world of Australian illustration – this is a huuuggee lineup!
