Well, it took us a while to choose one out of the many entries we got – almost every entry was pretty damn schmick, so firstly we’d like to thank everyone who took the time out to design something and send it through to us – the support we get for this site always gives us the fuzzys, and all the entrants are totally mintox for taking the time out to do something up for us.
Anyways, we finally made a decision, and we think that its a great one! If you look up the top of the page there, you’ll see the new logo – we reckon its pretty cool and works great with our overall theme and we hope that you agree – the man that designed it, Pino Coppolino, is a talented dude.
“I was born in Melbourne but spent most of my youth in Italy. It was there, from a very early age, that I became interested in art and design. Whilst in Italy, I also successfully completed art school, a photography course, and a Chemistry degree!
It took me a long time, working in many different careers, before I finally came back around to doing what I’m really passionate about … art and design. I’ve now been working in the graphic design industry for the last fifteen years, and I’m still totally in love with the work that I do.
In addition to being a freelance designer, I coordinate and lead a team of designers for a Melbourne based design and printing firm, providing end-to-end branding, corporate identity and marketing solutions to our clients. From business cards to billboards, my design expertise includes logo design, illustrations, websites, brochures, flyers, booklets, etc.
As a designer, I strive to create outstanding designs that push the envelope – clean and uncluttered design is the common thread throughout my portfolio, and, I hope, winning this competition is a testament to the widespread appeal of the designs that I produce.
If you are interested in having something unique and sophisticated created for you, feel free to contact me via email.”
Once again, thanks to everyone that entered, and thankyou to Pino for giving us our new visual identity – you’ll be seeing it, and variations of it, a lot more of it in the future, we hope!
