We’re regular reader of Leeloo’s blog, theres always cool stuff on there in various shapes, happenings and styles – so when we saw a few weeks ago that they were planning on running a big group show in conjunction with the amazingness that is the Finders Keepers Market, we were doubly excited for the Docklands event.

The lineup for this show looks grand!

“Supported by LMFF, the Finders Keepers, frankie magazine, The Loop and daydream lily, Leeloo is very proud to present Drawn From Fashion an exhibition showcasing and celebrating emerging Australian designers and young fashion illustrators and artists.

Using photos from previous L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival runway events, 16 young Australian artists, hand-picked by the team at online design store Leeloo, will create original works using methods based in fashion illustration, art and graphic design.

These artworks will be for sale, and will have a strong feature in both Australian Art and Fashion alongside the hugely successful Finders Keepers market.

The bi-annual Finders Keepers market is the leading event of it’s kind, with a strong focus on quality independent design including jewellery, accessories, homewares, art and fashion made by up and coming Australian artists in their field. Leeloo will again be manning our stall of unique wares within the marker, near to the exhibition location!
The featured artists reads like a who’s who of the Australian art scene :: Courtney Brims, Pilgrim Lee, Sarah McNeil, Racket, Beth Emily, lalita lu, Meeri Anneli, Elisa Mazzone, Erin Flannery, Emma Leonard, Kelly Smith, Catherine Campbell, Jessica Singh, Lauren Carney, Pippa McManus and Bec Winnel. Phew!!! You’ll see everything from the more traditional style of fashion illustration mixed in with pieces using the piece purely for inspiration.

Head to Shed4 at Docklands on Saturday March 26th and Sunday March 27th from 10am to 5pm to enjoy the exhibition and the markets amongst the lovely atmosphere, the music and yummy food. We can’t wait to see you there!!!”
