Having missed last year’s White Night, and kicking myself because of it, I was glad to make it this year. Overall it was another awesome night with thousands of people crowding into the city to witness this annual spectacle.
I spent most of the night in Rutledge Lane, which was transformed into the Neon Laneway. The event was curated and organised by Michael Duncan – aka Losop Stencils and Alana Hoggart.
Featuring artists: Makatron, Facter, Losop, Heesco, Mitch Walder and Dosey.
Performance Artists: Alana Hoggart, Bronwen Kamasz, Jaime Dorner, Kieran Law, Lily Fish and Stephanie Osztreicher.
Artists painted the laneway with fluorescent colours which was highlighted by the black lights illuminating the laneway. The performance artists were painted to match each of the pieces and every hour or so they came alive and mesmerised spectators. A great night and use of Rutledge Lane. Well done guys!! Some snapshots I took below.
