After his hugely successful Melbourne show earlier this year, ELK (aka Luke Cornish)is back at it with a second solo show in Sydney – Vanishing Point.
“Join us on Thursday 21st of April for drinks and rack to celebrate the opening of “Vanishing point” an exhibiton of new works from Stencil artist Luke Cornish (ELK).
Drawing inspiration from over twenty countries travelled to in two years, ELK takes the medium of stencil art to a new level with his latest offering, incorporating over 800 hand cut layers and 200 colours into the paintings, and up to two months of solitary confinement to bring them into creation.
Focusing on the Urban landscape, the human condition and the correlation between the two, ELKs new body of work must be seen to be believed”
Theres not much we can say about the stencil mastery of ELKs work that we haven’t said time and time again, suffice to say if you are in Sydney you need to go and see this, as his work lately is so on point and amazingly cool – theres a great new interview with him over at Lost in E Minor as well (as well as all the interviews we have with him here).
