Friday the 10th of June saw an amazing show by local artist Goonhugs at the Dark Horse Experiment, a prolific sticker and paste up artist, whose works literally cover everything, I love seeing a shopfront or bus shelter completely covered knowing that there are few thousand stickers on there.

This was his first solo show and for this he allowed us a view into his miniature world of these amazingly detailed reproductions of abandoned building from around Melbourne, these were covered in tags mostly from Melbourne’s prolific graffiti scene.

He managed to reproduce in such amazing detail, some of my favourite things about Melbourne and that is old buildings covered in all manner of expression, where ever I go it’s the tags and graffiti that always capture my eye.

Also a big shout out to Doyle, Piya and Judy from Blender Studios for curating such a successful show, make sure you get down and check out the show it’s on till the 24th of June at the Dark Horse Experiment, 110 Franklin Street, Melbourne.
