This Friday, Cam Scale will treat us with his 1st major Solo exhibition at Juddy Roller – State of Mind.
Cam’s work is influenced by the Australian graffiti, street and urban art cultures as well interactions with the viewers minds. The show features portraits of some of the many moving parts that make up this scene, from the writers themselves, the cleaners the collectors and admirers.

From the Juddy Roller Press Release: “Influenced by Sydney “tracksides” and “pieces” dotted around Sydney, Melbourne-based multidisciplinary artist, Cam Scale was motivated to leave his own mark on the city. Years later, “Scale” is now a renowned graffiti writer and one of Melbourne’s most proficient large scale portrait artists.
Scale’s first major solo exhibition, ‘State Of Mind’ explores his and the viewers attitude towards graffiti, street art and urban art and delves into the previously unexplored parallels of the urban and contemporary art world.
Scale’s initial goal was to to capture the images of those he met while painting on the street, from there ‘State of Mind’ evolved into an exhibition focused on portraits of people that from the outside seem diabolically opposed, but somehow come together create the complex ecosystem that makes Melbourne street art thrive.
From vandals, to graffiti cleaners, to collectors and artists, the show explores the complexities and characters that combine to make Melbourne the number one destination in the world to view high quality contemporary street art.”
We’ve always been really big fans of Scales work, and this time around he really looks like he’s stepped it up big time – head down and check it all out for yourselves this weekend!
