Not having heard too much about either artist (hey, the fun part about all of this is discovering new awesomeness all the time), and when we saw they were showing at Nine Lives Gallery in Brisvegas, well, we did a bit of research … and, holy shitbags.

Alex Gillies woodcuts are absolutely amazing, and really inspiring – couple those with the more than talented and slightly macabre illustrations of Murdoch Stafford, and you have something entirely new – seriously, just check out this preview image if you don’t believe us.

“Me and my good friend Alex Gillies are having a split art show together in June. I’m extremely excited to be showing with Alex again and letting people see the collaboration we’ve been working on since 2009. These things are huge and Alex painstakingly carved almost all the detail I put into the original drawings.”
