We love Kurb Gallery, theres nothing quite like it in Perth – and this next group show looks totally up our alley, being the lovers of illustration that we are – and, to top it off, the flyer has a stegosaurus on it! Anything with thunder lizards on the flyer has to be great.
Dinosaurs rule. Kurbs rules.
“Pool sees 9 Western Australian illustrators present an exhibition of new works. A shared exploration of the drawn image through a variety of mediums. Powered by Satan, fruit, and booze – one huge wet mess.
Featuring the artwork of Gavin Williamson, George Cooke, Elizabeth Chisholm, K. E. Short, Shay Colley, Katherine Jago, Michael Day, Cael McGann and Larni Luxuria.”
Oh, and for supporters of independent galleries in Perth – Kurb is having a few issues with the EPRA, the guys who handle development in East Perth and may be facing eventual closure due to them having given the green light to a bar that would remove Kurb’s toilet facilities. Head over to their website for more details on it, and lend them your support!
