Minigraff has been all over of late, especially with the Mays Lane Project that took her work from Sydney to Adelaide (check the video on the other weeks Transmissions), and now she has a bunch of work heading to our capital for a show at the Megalo Print Studio and Gallery.
If you haven’t heard of this amazing artists, then you haven’t been following this stuff properly – because she has some amazing skills, and her upcoming display of prints looks grand.
“Mini Graff is an artist whose work tends to large scale mural projects, both private and public. Mini stencils and paints images on to a variety of media (walls, boards, wallpaper, rarely canvas) which strongly relate to the given environment and community, transforming an anonymous repetitive urban landscape into a unique and personal aesthetic experience. She works with local identities/ characters, artists, musicians and businesses to create each unique project.”
Any show from this artists is worth checking out, so get down if you are in Canberra, or get to Canberra when its on – luckily for us, it looks, fortuitously, like it’ll be on at the same time as a trip for myself to Canberra – so stay tuned for a bit of coverage! Sweet.
