Duality brings together 25 Melbourne writers with 25 Melbourne artists at KSR Art Bar in conjunction with the Melbourne Writers Festival.
“Duality is an art experiment that pairs 25 Melbourne artists with the anonymous words of 25 Melbourne writers – removing any trace of context, identity or origin from the writers’ words, leaving the artist to interpret and respond blindly. The result is a truly unique interactive exhibition experience that will leave audiences buzzing with intrigue and dialogue.”
The words and art are kept secret to all; only to be revealed to everyone at the opening night.
To complement the project, Duality founder and curator Shannyn Higgins has also photographed and filmed each of the 50 creatives in their workspaces for a behind-the-scenes portrait series. These images will feature in a limited edition coffee table book.
