I Live Across the Road From the Future, the latest solo exhibition by Drasko Boljevic, presented by Dark Horse Experiment and Blender Studios.
“Out of the dark alleyways of yesteryear, collaged creatures traversed realities from the archives of art history and comic books pages. Reimagined into projected concoctions of present day uniqueness, they become fantasy driven visual poetry, a collection of stories set to surprise, amuse and challenge the world from the creator’s perspective.”
We’re looking forward to seeing how Drasko transforms the Dark Horse Experiment gallery space and Blender Studios laneway with his 3-D stencil works, sculptures and video work.
Drasko has been involved in the visual arts scene in Melbourne for over two decades. He has participated in the arts from diverse angles, from being a gallery co-owner (Azibi Gallery, St Kilda) in the late 90s, to working for several theatre companies as set designer, prop and puppet, including the Institute of Pataphysical Studies, More than Opera and Malthouse Theatre.
